Get your bingo cards ready, get your drinks in hand, as we watch ACC students and Bama debutantes make their debut alongside with dancing heads and Errol and Peggy Scott.

No one gives a shite about Rex or Comus other than rich fart-sniffers.

One of my favorite long running OT threads.

For shame, it is easily one of the best threads of the year on the O-T.

36 days, heck, we've got winter coming for too many weeks in the near future. My king cake dough won't raise worth a hoot in these next weeks.

Don't forget Sewanee.

Are they still around? I thought with the death of PBS one of them would need to get job.

Mocking that thing and the cops and street cleaners rolling down Bourbon Street at midnight on Ash Wednesday are my favorite parts of Mardi Gras.
Oh...I forgot the annual discourse about Mobile Mardi Gras versus New Orleans Mardi Gras being better, cleaner, family vs. adult, newer/older, etc.

33 days until Endymion!
Anyway, since 1975, I've only been in New Orleans once for Mardi Gras and that was in 2020 hoping that Tiger Band would march in Rex due to the National Championship.
It didn't feel the same to me. On Lundi Gras, Orpheus and Proteus felt "Meh" to me. On Tuesday, I met up with friends for lunch and to watch Rex, again it felt "Meh" and the excitement level wasn't what I felt in years past.
My normal routine is to get into NOLA on Wednesday, watch the Wed-Thu-Friday parades with float load during the day on Thursday. Friday during the day on Bourbon St is a lot of fun and you can really feel the energy building. Then watching the Friday night parades. Hermes is the same great parade I remember as a teenager, Krewe d'Etat is simply a howl, and I have a friend in Morpheus.
Saturday starts at Muriel's, with a stop at Lafitte's, and ends at the Dome.
By the time that's done I'm fried.
Sunday is more parade watching and I'll make a good bit of Bacchus.
Monday is purchasing the last king cake and heading home.

Agree, Butch. The build up for the weekend is better than Monday and Tuesday. Happy Mardi Gras OT!!
