been watching a bunch of films set in New Orleans. This is in no order. So far I have seen:
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2010)
Down By Law (1986)
The Big Easy (1986)
A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
Angel Heart (1987)
Deja Vu (2006)
Cat People (1982)
Miller's Crossing (1991)
Hit Man (2023)
Obsession (1976)
Easy Rider (1969)
Runaway Jury (2003)
Long Hot Summer (1958)
JFK (1991)
Killing Them Softly (2012)
What are some other notable films set in or around NOLA that are worth watching?

Directed by Kazan the year before Streetcar. Not only a classic location thriller, but a priceless document of 1950 New Orleans.
Elia Kazan directing PITS

The Big Easy (1986)
My ears bled from Dennis Quaid's atrocious attempt at a Cajun accent in that movie.
Yet another Hollywood film that failed to understand that Cajuns don't live in NOLA.

Part of it filmed from my front porch. Got a nice payday from that.

There's an episode of the '50s Jim Bowie TV series where Cajuns want to secede from the US and rejoin France!

Not exactly what you asked for but MSW has 4 episodes set in New Orleans that are all worth checking out. Please let me know if you’d like any additional info. Pulled this from the internet (with some minor tweaks):
"Murder to a Jazz Beat" (Season 1, Episode 14): Jessica visits for a TV interview and finds herself investigating the poisoning of a jazz musician during a performance in the Quarter. Garrett Morris as cab driver Lafayette Duquesne is worth the price of admission alone.
"The Perfect Foil" (Season 2, Episode 21): Set during Mardi Gras, Jessica's cousin becomes the prime suspect in a murder during the festive chaos. Cousin Cal is incredible. Great costumes, including a harem girl that does it for me in ways I should not publicize.
"Judge Not" (Season 8, Episode 6): Jessica attends the funeral of a New Orleans jazz great and looks into a cold case murder haunting his family. Great episode but maybe the weakest of the lot.
"Big Easy Murder" (Season 12, Episode 4): A trip to New Orleans involves the occult and voodoo dolls after a businessman's death. Highly recommend.

Bette makes like Scarlet O'Hara (the year before GWTW)
Set during the 1852 epidemic
There is a fascinating early scene in a bank boardroom. The hero urges the city to accept progress (railroads) to boost prosperity, but the old money PTB oppose any sort of change,
