Lane’s first game against a big brand in Clemson, with a bunch of exciting new pieces on both sides of the ball with us not being done yet as we almost surely will keep adding to the offensive line. Mannn I can’t imagine how loud Death Valley week 1 vs Clemson is going to be.

We said that last year, the year we played USCw, Oregon in 2011 and etc. Saying that, it will be highly anticipated due to finally having an offensive minded coach. This is the first time I’ve ever seen LSU go after and get the coach they wanted so that adds to the excitement. I just hope the defense can dominate until the offense finds its feet. There are so many new parts to the offense, scheme, players, QB and etc, that the defense MAY need to hold the rope early. Time will tell but I’m hoping we can all temper expectations. If we blow the doors off Clemson then all bets are off.

None of those were home openers.

That was one of my first games once I got old enough to understand football. Absolute masterpiece of a game.

VT only lost one more game that regular season, to Matt Ryan’s BC.

The 2007 team at full health was a juggernaut; so glad things shook out for them in the end because a non-chop-blocked Dorsey would have stopped some of those Arkansas runs.

Clemson is riding on its name only, but Dabo’s refusal to play the portal is killing their ability to compete. Look at the current portal rankings. Clemson is nowhere to be found. This game won’t be as tough as it sounds. Should allow us to start out 1-0 with a couple tune up games afterwards.

It was an electric atmosphere. The chokies were a deer in headlights all night.

Clemson starts so slow it seems……..Lane will have us looking like mid-season form. We beat Clemson easy………

2004 Oregon State was anticipated but it was not what folks had in mind. 2005 Tennessee also.

OP worded his question a bit vaguely. That was the home opener, but it wasn’t week 1. But regardless, that was a hell of a game. Just an utter dismantling of a very good football team.
