Mubenga needs to transition to Center IMO. He’s not big or physical enough to handle guard

Playing out of position and bad coaching/scheme set him up for failure. He'll end up being decent.

My concern is that we're going to look up in a year and see that a lot of these OL that we've let walk were actually good players once they received better coaching. We'll be fine without them and perhaps won't care at all that we lost them by then, but I do wish presently that we had made a better effort to retain some of these guys.

Maybe we did?? Although we're on the outside looking in, we think we know the details of every interaction between the new staff and players. But guess what, we don't know..... It'll remain a mystery to us what went on and how much an effort was made to keep the departed players.

Some guys just feel like they need a new start, especially with how critical our fanbase is. Nuss is a good example of how relentless our fanbase can be. The dude threw for over 4000 yards in 2024, and some act like he was one of the worst QBs we've ever had. Prime Tom Brady wouldn't have done well behind the 2025 LSU OL, and much of it had to do with running an offense that didn't fit our personnel. They prepared like Jayden Daniels was still behind center. We were doomed from the start!

Mubenga and Chester have no use for us

They were both terrible here and cant just blame Davis; we all saw the ability issues both had blocking SEC linemen....they simply couldnt do it.

Echols, Williams, Curne, Adams were way bigger losses than those 2. I would take Tyler Miller back over those 2 every day of the week too.

Well, you better prepare for it. Even Mubenga who was down the list.

They didnt let all of them walk, Chester and Mubenga were just easy ones to straight up tell you're not playing here if you stay here. They tried to keep a few of the guys who left, Brad Davis while being an awful coach was really connected to these guys though.

Its mostly a rebuild job only returning Moore and Davis but keep in mind Kiffin has had great offense after great offense at OM while having ONE draft pick on the OL in the last 5 drafts including the one coming up which no one is projected to be picked from OM. The 1 guy that was drafted was a 7th rounder back in 2023 by the way

Which tells you 2 things - they werent the best getting OL talent into OM, which is probably why Kiffin brought in someone different than who he had at Ole Miss. And secondly Kiffin clearly doesnt need an elite, good or maybe even above average OL to have a really good offense.

This isnt to say if our OLine is as bad as it was this year we'll be fine, but Kiffin knows how to scheme around not having much on the Oline, clearly.
