I was reading about super max prisons in Colorado when this site was referenced.

I thought that was the only one. Nope.

There is also links to State prisons and their capacity. From there I think you can pull up incarcerated names. My arrest for public drunkenness in Athens 50 years ago has evidently been erased due to statutes.

Might want to visit there.

Just curious about these "City of Faith" incarceration facilities in Louisiana.
Is it a Catholic funded penitentiary?

They also have a sex offender list.

Is it valid? Does it apply to convictions or accusations? I don't know.

Ever know anyone who did time in a Federal prison? I've known three. All for financial fraud.

I’ve worked in the corrections side of criminal justice for 35 years. Mostly probation and parole at the state and federal level. Retired from the Feds ten years ago. My first job in the Feds was at FCC Coleman in Florida when it activated as a new facility. It has grown into two US Pens, one medium, one low and a camp. It’s absolutely massive. The USP’s have stabbings almost daily. I did not enjoy that few years of my career. I’ve very much enjoyed being a Probation and Parole Officer for about 30 of those 35 years.

It’s very untrue is you are under the impression that Federal Prison is a country club. It’s extremely dangerous and bleak. It would be an awful way to waste one’s life.

Most federal prisons aren't USP's. Many more that are mediums. I worked at a medium for 8 years and it was a joke. We had like 1 stabbing while I was there and maybe averaged 1 lame fight every couple months.

True story, I got a simple ticket in Athens after an LSU Georgia game. I disregarded the ticket thinking it was nbd. 4 years later when I was entering the country, I got detained at customs, in California, for hours, while threatened to be sent to jail in Georgia

Pay your tickets kids

My wife and I just recently completed a series called "Castle Rock". Castle Rock is the name of the fictional town in Maine where Shawshank prison is located.

King did not write the script for the series, but he was one of the producers.

It was pretty good. Only 2 seasons.

What is the daily life like as a prisoner there? Do they just sit around all day or do they have to work?

EGLIN FPC on Eglin AFB. Is this a prison for military prisoners? I never knew there was a prison on the Air Force Base.
