The empathy isn't misplaced. They aren't subconsciously doing it. It is placed where it gets them the most attention and praise. You don't get praised for caring about your kids because that is expected of you. But caring about illegal aliens, Ukraine, and fighting "fascists" gets you views and likes on TikTok. These women are just desperate for attention.

It's just identity politics in general. Identity politics cannot handle disagreement because any perceived disagreement is an attack on the self, not on ideology. Because of this they will defend their positions until the bitter end because conceding anything, to them, means they themselves are a failure of a human being.

I really believe most white liberal women are addicted to anti-depressants and for some reason the pharmaceutical companies though it would be a really funny joke to mess with the dosages and formulas so now we all have to suffer for it.

From both a psychological and physiological standpoint, the logic is solid and seems irrefutable.
I don't think it's coincidence that my hyper-liberal cousins (both male and female) are all childless. The cousins with kids are moderates and conservatives. I mean, there's not even a remote gray area. It's a defacto rule and hardline with no apparent exceptions, anecdotal as it may be.
