If BK and AT spent $18m last year

Then Lane and Glasscock have got to be at $30m+ right? The dudes they are keeping and pulling are crazy

I’ll give $10 if this keeps up - Kelly? I wouldn’t contribute a discounted penny.

The roster is definitely going to be over 30 IMO. Wouldn’t be shocked if it touches 40.
With the commitment LSU has to paying BK’s buyout, giving Lane a King’s ransom, paying for a new staff etc. we are all bought in. We needed a complete overhaul of a roster.
Not saying we are winning it all next year, but I’m even more excited than I already thought I would be.
We’re contenders Year 1.

I would kill to know who's funding all of this. I mean, I know we have two billionaires and other heavy hitters but I'd love to see how it's split up amongst them.

Makes since when you consider the reports of $25 mil in NIL plus whatever percentage of the $20.5 mil revenue share they decided to give football, probably 85-ish percent.

Well didn’t one of the Fourchon ship builders just get a big government contract to build ships.

Oil and gas money baw. When the governor gets his lobby behind LSU football and the legislature gets on board with tax incentives, the big boy oil and gas don’t mind funding a roster for 40 mil every year.

This is LSU's advantage as the only P5 school in this era. Maybe even more of an advantage than pre NIL, who would've thought?
I'd also add, people donate when they have something they believe in. BK wasn't inspiring in any way.

It’s because we are the only school in the state to compete with. Can leverage the whole power of the state economy to incentivize donations to NIL. It’s actually why Lane came here.

Really feel like BK just threw money at highly rated players in hopes they would fit the system and make us better. Lane seems to study players physical abilities along with production to find specific skill sets for each position that he feels will give the player opportunities to excel in his system

I'd love to know the breakdown between Spaht, Todd Graves, Gordon, MMR, and the other big donors like oil industry folks.

I am with you. I read those tea leaves when he was hired. It's a powerful tool for sure.

I believe the war chest for this year was said to be in the $33-$37 million range and we will end up using over 90% of it to land this class.

We got Venezuelan oil coming in to LA refineries to pay for this portal class

Watch for the Laniac Combo ads coming up featuring LK and you’ll have part of your answer.

We are paying for it via tax dollars.
Not gonna lie - I ain’t mad at ya Jeff Landry. Smart plan. Just hope he’s not dumb enough to get caught.
