Lol. Destroya had all her friends on payroll.
Destroya spent 15k on DJs. Moreno said someone can come up with a Spotify playlist for free.

I'm starting to love Moreno

So she removed an entire tree hugging department and now cut spending by $200k

Jeff Landry should be sitting in her office asking for lessons on how it is done.

That would mean admitting he has a problem.

Moreno doesn’t have the entitled mentality so she doesn’t look at the job as a free for all

Latoya used to have parties at Gallier hall with music, catering, and who knows what else and charge it to her campaign AND also to the city. She had no scruples. She also turned away people who were not “invited” and generally that meant certain races of people that she didn’t want around…

I've known her when she was in La Leg. trying to get some stuff done in the City (without going into details). Could tell she actually gives a shite and isn't trying to do things just for money or her career.

This is the stuff I love to hear. Tired of all levels of government and their wasteful spending.

Their 1st term always looks like they are working for the people. The second term is when the fraud and inside deals take place.

If all she does is concentrates on things most cities take for granted, she will be a smashing success.

I just hope she doesn’t get sucked into the national issues and solely concentrates on those things more important to the city.

Latoya was so bad that people think this dumbass will be good. Keep lowering that bar, New Orleans.

It was Gordon who put the two together

McKernan also happens to have useful friendships with many a Louisiana Republican. That roster of relationships includes Gov. Jeff Landry, who McKernan once joined at a Texas hunting ranch to try to hash out an insurance reform compromise, as well as another powerful conservative figure in Louisiana: State Attorney General Liz Murrill.

“He’s very close with Liz Murrill, and when she was the biggest opposition I had, I went to [McKernan], and I was like, ‘Hey, please go talk to her, please, help me out here,’” Moreno recalled in an interview late last month. McKernan’s message to Murrill, Moreno relayed, was: “Give Helena a shot.”

Not really. I get Lamala isn't popular here. She's popular in the Democrat party. It makes sense.

At least he’s good at hiring football coaches.

I remember when JBE pitched himself as a ‘moderate’. Then he showed his true colors.

Give her time. She’s surrounded by all of the usual, old guard, hard left. Yes, she looks great in comparison to the blatant grifter Teedy, but never forget that she’s a liberal Democrat first, and it won’t take long before she has to prove herself to her people. It probably won’t take long, either, considering what’s going on at the national level. She will have to ‘pick a side’, and it won’t be the one that republicans are on.
