There was zero reason to pay ANY coach to come here after Wade got canned. We were going to suck under probation for a year or two. Should have hired some up and comer or worse on a cheap and short contract.

You idiot, Fat Woody put LSU in the situation they're in now. LSU could have told the NCAA to go frick themselves like Kansas did with Bill Self and they'd still have a program today.

Haha!!! Are we going to have to overpay for McMahon’s replacement. The new guy is taking over a snakebit program, with fewer than 20 conference wins in 4 years and an NIL budget that is terrible…
That’s going to be a tough excuse, especially if Wade is rehired and turns it around in year one.

Wade screwed up and put LSU in a bad position. Woody did not make a good hire to replace him. Both things can be true. McMahon's contract is only problematic because of the length of the guarantee. That is at least partly due to the situation a new coach would be coming into with potential sanction hanging over thier head. r thier head.
