After all that, they get blown out by Philly the following week.

Ah, yes, the Meaningless Miracle. Keystone Kop duo of Sean Payton and Dennis Allen presiding over the mismanagement of the end of that game.

Not the first time, or last time, Payton mismanaged the end of a playoff game. Helluva coaching job to waste all those prime Drew Brees years.

Lost a lot of $ on that play was live betting the Saints during the game as well as having a bunch on them pregame. Just sensed the comeback. Think i had them as lucrative as +325 or so when they were down double digits

From pure elation to deveststion

The defenders were trying to avoid a PI and were trying not to make any contact.

They were instructed to play that way by the coaches. It did look like they threw the game.

Definitely not one of the greatest endings of all time since it meant absolutely nothing in the historical context of the season

This take kinda sucks. It absolutely was one of the greatest endings of all time to a playoff game. It doesn't matter what happened the next week.

You going to also say the Bluegrass Miracle wasn't one of the greatest endings to a game because LSU got beat by Alabama 31-0 the next week?

What?

We got our asses kicked and came back to take the lead with like a minute left in the game.

I guess the NFL can quit slobbing the Steelers' and Rooney family's knobs over the Immaculate Reception now.

Shame the saints lost that game, Drew Brees was absolutely legendary in that 2nd half.
