Based on what exactly?
LSU is an entity and buildings run by people. The PEOPLE who had issues and ultimately fired Wade are no longer in charge at LSU. On the flip side, the current President of LSU previously employed Wade, and the BOS is not anti-Wade.
Wade is unique because he's the ONLY LSU HC fired in modern history without the "approval" of the customers (fans)/donors. Saban, Skip, Arnsbarger, Breux, etc, left on their own terms. Every other coach was pushed out because the fans/donors wanted a change.
Outside of a few illogical knuckleheads who really don't follow basketball to begin with, the fanbase, at large would be thrilled to have Wade back. So would the boosters with whom he still has good relationships with. Given that LSU could offer him McMahon's salary and it would be a raise from what he's making at NC State, I said he be willing to "entertain" LSU on that basis alone.

I’ve heard of people getting divorced, finding a new spouse, divorce them and remarry the previous spouse. It’s odd, but it happens.
