I have nothing against Massie and Rand Paul. Often agree with them. But, they could be tackling a lot more low hanging fruit than this many times than attacking MAGA and Trump.

He's so good at his job it's taken him years, years he says, to get this passed.

Wow..... how we can remain a great nation with idiocy such as this, is a mystery!!!
Shouldn't there already be instructions written into the Social Security laws that once a person dies, they are no longer eligible receive SS benefits??
The real issue here is, if dead people are receiving SS checks, who is cashing them?????
Those folks need to be arrested.

Hey John, did you did or did you didn’t vote to send billions to Ukraine? And why don’t you seem to be upset about that fraud?

first time looking behind the scenes of how our government works?
i swear to God, 90% of the shite we pay for is fraud & abuse and could be eliminated overnight and we'd not only have a budget surplus, but we could end most of the taxation.
its all about control (always has been)

Every single day almost our system seems to indicate it isn’t fit for purpose for some reason or another at this point.
Trump needed fricking legislation for this?

How do the dead represent themselves if elected? Would it be a spirit, a skeleton, dust etc.
50 years from now it will be ridiculous trivia that this had to be written & passed into law lol

Hey, that’s an Oxford man you’re talking about and I ain’t talking Ol’ Piss.
I mean, imagine being Kennedy 50 years after Vanderbilt, UVA Law, & Oxford. You’re passing legislation so the dead don’t get paid, well done senator.

There’s been at least two or three legislative sessions in Louisiana in the past few years where they've passed laws that already existed, and when asked why the law is necessary the response was “nobody will enforce the existing statute.”
Such sound logic explained the decisions to add a camera to watch the red light cameras when they were being vandalized.

I did some digging and the reason SSA could not share their death file is because of the 1974 Privacy Act which was passed after Watergate. People were scared of the government having agencies easily coordinate to create a master "dossier" on every citizen. Supposedly Nixon was calling up the IRS or SSA and other agencies and compiling dossiers with the info.
So they made it where data on Americans had to be in a silo within each agency. That agency could only collect data they needed for their purpose and could not share it.
It's pretty outdated now that everything is computerized and the fact we've had the Patriot Act and other shite since then.
