#6
Incredible job by Lane. From 12 to 6 and we’re not done yet

Including outbound players based upon their incoming ratings is a dumb methodology. They played and they were not great.

Could be wrong, but I think on3 is the only one that implements players leaving into their rankings

That’s On3. We’re #1 in 247’s transfer rankings. The overall is a collective ranking that combines transfers and traditional recruiting

I'll call that a tie for 5th place.
Seaton pushes us to 4. Anything beyond that of any substance and we will be pushing for the #1 overall class, which would be insane.

A literal inch away from a top 5 class ranking.

Thats without 3 transfers still not accounted for in their system

I think included what transfers out is a good way of showing if you got better, but a lot of the guys that transferred out got ranked highly solely on them having a high HS or just getting the LSU boost. So I don’t agree with On3s actual system, just their evaluation

Playoffs or bust year 1

THIS! complete crap. Curne maybe deserved his rating but we ditched some dead star-weight.

More than half of the team will be new to this team

Anymore I put more stock in what you do in the portal. HS talent is green and unproven relative to portal guys.

I spy lil bro at 13 lol

Our high school class was #12 but our average player rating was #1. Only 14 players in the class.

The JUCO transfer is listed under the current recruit section (2026 Recruits) and not the transfer section of 247 and On3 rankings (see link below). So only 2 transfers not accounted for in the rankings. However, 247 does not have the 2026 CB from Florida that recently committed to LSU.
Jones is listed under "Hard Commits"

The most total commits in the SEC with 55 players, but still finished ranked last

I disagree.

Are we sure that guys with HS ratings ONLY count in the transfer portal overall points? I'm too lazy to do the math but the simple check on that is we know the overall average per player so either that average counts HS + T ratings or just T ratings. Obviously, the average won't be the same determined by which way they count towards that average.
