If tweet fails to load, click here. “Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.
Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.
I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT”

If tweet fails to load, click here. Why did Trump sending a letter to the PM of Norway regarding Greenland? We're trying to buy it from Denmark not Norway.

lol
This is what the Trump administration takes its supporters for… fools. This is posted as some sort of triumph. They’re relying on you not actually reading beyond the headline.
What a twat.

Norway has nothing to do with the Nobel prize or Greenland, it just makes Trump look like he needs another cognitive test.

Good to see Krasnov doubling down on the most unpopular policy position in years. This fall is going to be a bloodbath for republicans.

This can't be real. If it is...

I mean, come on. Really.
He sounds like a spoiled child that didn't get his way and now he's throwing a a temper tantrum. Maybe this is even a further attempt to misdirect the public from the Epstein files.
Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by a five-member Norwegian committee chosen by the country’s parliament, not by the prime minister. The entire nomination process is confidential, and the full list of nominees is kept sealed for 50 years.
Who Decides
Here are the facts..
Strategic Value
There are valuable resources and a strategic geographic position.
Greenland's strategic value is substantiated by U.S. analyses, including the existing Thule Air Base for missile defense, access to rare earth minerals critical for tech (per CSIS reports), and emerging Arctic shipping routes due to ice melt, which could benefit Russia and China without U.S. influence.
Sovereignty
Fact: The people want to be independent.
Greenland’s leadership has been clear that the long-term goal is greater self-determination, not becoming part of another country. Prime Minister Múte B. Egede has repeatedly said that Greenlanders want to be “Greenlandic,” reflecting a broad public sentiment favoring more autonomy while still relying on Denmark for economic support. Denmark has responded by reaffirming that Greenland isn’t for sale but that its people have the right to choose their own future. At the same time, Greenland’s government has signaled that it’s open to deepening its defense partnership with the United States, even as it continues to pursue a gradual path toward increased independence.
What's Realistic
The most realistic role for the United States in Greenland is a deeper security and infrastructure partnership—not political control or anything resembling a territorial claim. Greenland’s leaders have been clear that their long-term path points toward greater independence, but they’re also open to expanding cooperation with the U.S. on defense, Arctic monitoring, and dual-use infrastructure like ports and airfields. That creates space for a stronger strategic relationship that respects Greenland’s autonomy while supporting shared interests in the Arctic.

Context aside, it's a horribly written letter and reads far more like a nonsensical tiger rant post than communication between two world leaders.
Does he not have someone editing for him?

The “man” is an emotional infant. If your 8 year old acted like him, any parent would be embarrassed. But Orange can do no wrong for those afflicted with TDS.

Before Trump starts a war they had better give him the Nobel Peace Prize.
