If he doesn't buy into building his roster in Many ways like an NFL roster.. the NCAA needs to rein it in. But there's positives to this new era in college football.. Either way we're fortunate to have a coach with the foresight to see what direction CFB was going.. And using social media to network and build his brand.. What potential recruit/transfer wouldn't listen to Coach kiffin? I hope we get 5 gold years at least hahha !

Yes but it’s funny to see Ole Miss look stupid.

Dabo has taken focus off of LSU and media is redirected on Ole’ Miss.

Dabo's reluctance to use the portal was always going to be a losing battle. But, he's flipped the script on Ole Miss by showing their hypocrisy. I hope it bites them in the but big time.

Frick Dabo but he lowkey did LSU a solid by transferring all the attention and limelight to Ole Miss in a bad way now lol. So I guess in that case thanks Dabo!!

Dabo is probably one of the very few coaches who can publicly throw allegations like this out there because he’s not guilty of the same thing (only because he’s largely ignored the portal completely).

Terrific point!

Dabo is the PERFECT portal victim to launch accusations of tampering.

Dabo won’t survive this era of college football.

But I think very soon we will look back and see he is was one of the biggest victims of all that has become terrible in college football. I go to the recruiting board and the first pinned thread shows we have a whole new team. Who are these guys? Why should I care about any of them? At least pro teams draft and keep a few core players. College football is lost and it just keeps getting worse every day. I hate what it’s done to a sport I used to love.

When you finally have P4 coaches bitching about the system, it’ll probably help get in cleaned up here down the road.

Not likely. Can't put the genie back in the bottle.

Why should schools not be forced to follow simple rules?

There are no rules. Not really. The NCAA is a useless organization with no teeth at all. CFB is now a race to be the one that fricks people over instead of getting fricked over

It’s not like the NFL at all. I think he would be fine with it at this point if it were like the NFL and there were actual guidelines and rules.

Forever the NCAA made it extremely difficult to transfer, tamper, etc and now thanks to lots of liberals wanting to give power to the young people and congress getting involved, they’re not allowed to enforce their rules.

They’re not completely blameless, but most of your beef should be directed elsewhere.

Maybe I’m wrong. I’m a John Melvin fan.

horseshite.

Coaches making eight figures a year (like Dabo) to coach amateur football was never a good thing for the sport and one reason why things are the way they are today.

If Dabo really wanted to impress me he could have taken a salary comparable to that of a professor years ago. But nope. His salary reflects exactly what CFB truly is - an entertainment empire - and he never minded taking full advantage of that at contract time.
