I have looked at a couple of video clips and can’t really see anything definitive. Some say he went for the gun. Others say the officers disarmed him before he was shot. Which is it? Has anyone studied this?

My hypothesis from earlier remains to be debunked.

Had the guy said gun and left it, dead guy is still dead with the gun on the body and it's unquestionably justified.

Yes there is an angle that shows both his hands were on the ground when he was shot. Most here will ignore that fact and continue to cheer on the paramilitary group of the executive branch
