Blasted my triceps for 3 hours yesterday in my 41 degree garage on push day. If you've never experienced tricep cramps (it was my first time in almost 60 years on this earth), it's a new level in pain.

Yes, I've tried everything, hydration, Magnesium, bananas, Gatorade, pickle juice, etc., but if you have any other suggestions, I'll try.

Who the hell works one muscle group for 3 hours????

I can't imagine pro body builders doing something like that, much less a guy 60 yrs. old.

Unless we have different ideas what "blasting triceps" is.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Gotta expect adequate recovery time after nuking a muscle like that. It’s kind of similar to a strain or sprain. Those muscles are injured.

Treat them the same way.

Next time be more gradual.

Don’t do 3 hours on one muscle group. To help with recovery and cramps drink an amino acid supplement before you workout. Also, drink water throughout training session.

Drink lots of water, stretch, and take creatine if not already. That's about all you can do now.

Didn’t do 3 hours on a muscle group at my peak much less if I was in my 60s. What is this.

Try the warming patches with capsaicin. Two big ones at H-E-B are under two bucks, and they last for about 8 hours.

Only muscle I’ve blasted for three hours is my forearms when Mrs. STLDawg has been out of town for several days.
