Progressivism on display in Nashville

Nashville proper is a mess. Today is Day 9 of no power in most of the city, while the surrounding areas have had power for a week.
Here are some highlights of what we have leaned.
The Marxist mayor appointed a DEI hire to run Nashville Power. She had no prior experience in a utility company.
She has required employees to attend over 100 DEI seminars since being hired.
Nashville spent 1/3 of what Memphis did on clearning tree branches, and she cut it by another 1/3.
She proudly said in an interview that Nashville Electric will not cut branches with green (even if they threaten power lines). "We need our beautiful green canvas"
Other crews from outside Nashville have come to help restore power and there is no plan to get them going - they are in parking lots waiting (This may have been solved today)
The Nashville mayor once tried to ban generators from the city for climate change (The state of TN had to step in). Nashville refuses to use X/Twitter and posts updates on Bluesky because Elon bad.
After multiple deaths and now nine days without power, residents woke up to an email update from Nashville Power. It apologized for not using inclusive language in an earlier update.

Much like Georgia is discovering, once you invite California in... the disease quickly begins to replicate.

What's that saying about actions having consequences?!?!

They voted for it. They got it.

SoCal and the Bay Area. Leave the rest of us in this state the heck out of their insanity.

And yet she will blame Trump, Democrats will believe her, and it will get worse.

Nashville native here. Loved the city but we saw where it was heading 20 years ago and moved to Franklin in a ring county a few years later.
We never lost power.
We arent serviced by NES

Nashville’s gone woke.
“Gone Woke”
Him/Her/They’ve gone woke. Takes it up the poop shoot.
- The new Alan Jackson.

No way a woman should ever be in charge of a power company to begin with. That’s man’s work and hard arse work at that.

I have some experience with Nashville and the people that live there. The majority of them are just fine with all this and will keep voting for the clowns.

I never understood why the city owned the power company, specially in a city the size of Nashville.

Do you think also being a college town (Vanderbilt) may also have something to do with its rapid descent into the cesspool?!?!
