If you have to ask this question then you are part of the problem. As it stands, there are 19 states (all of them share something in common) that would allow Putin, rocket man, Xi, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck to vote in their elections. Because wedge issues are guaranteed votes every cycle for both parties.
Republicans need a lack of voter id so they can saber rattle about the Democrats. Democrats need it so they can fearmonger about how oppressive and evil Republicans are for even humoring the idea of having voter id.
As long as the voter id issue can guarantee votes every cycle... it will never really be solved.

Elon was making noise about finding a third party. I think he backed out because when he mentioned it, he was incredibly short on time to find people he wanted to run for 2026 as the filing deadline was only a couple months away. He decided to play nice for the time being, but look for this to resurface for 2028.

I’m convinced republicans know if voter fraud is eliminated then they’ll actually win big and the few power brokers in tge GOP (who are in on the grift as much as Dems) will lose their stranglehold on the party. See with narrow majorities they can manipulate it where 2-3 defectors can stop any real threat to their grift. But if republicans were to win say a filibuster proof majority…well they’d lose their grip. If they didn’t go along with the voters mandate they’d be removed from leadership by the party. Their 3-4 RINO buddies could no longer stop it
