If tweet fails to load, click here. As everyone knows, the Country of Canada has treated the United States very unfairly for decades. Now, things are turning around for the U.S.A., and FAST! But imagine, Canada is building a massive bridge between Ontario and Michigan. They own both the Canada and the United States side and, of course, built it with virtually no U.S. content. President Barack Hussein Obama stupidly gave them a waiver so they could get around the BUY AMERICAN Act, and not use any American products, including our Steel. Now, the Canadian Government expects me, as President of the United States, to PERMIT them to just “take advantage of America!” What does the United States of America get — Absolutely NOTHING! Ontario won't even put U.S. spirits, beverages, and other alcoholic products, on their shelves, they are absolutely prohibited from doing so and now, on top of everything else, Prime Minister Carney wants to make a deal with China — which will eat Canada alive. We’ll just get the leftovers! I don't think so. The first thing China will do is terminate ALL Ice Hockey being played in Canada, and permanently eliminate The Stanley Cup. The Tariffs Canada charges us for our Dairy products have, for many years, been unacceptable, putting our Farmers at great financial risk. I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them, and also, importantly, Canada treats the United States with the Fairness and Respect that we deserve. We will start negotiations, IMMEDIATELY. With all that we have given them, we should own, perhaps, at least one half of this asset. The revenues generated because of the U.S. Market will be astronomical. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

Trump is the greatest negotiator in the history of the planet.

Canadians are the coolest bros ever to exist and we're trying to make enemies of them for some reason.

That's a lie.
Why are so many Republicans pretending like the United States has been victims of bad trade deals for years?

Canada is what happens when a risk-averse hall monitor gets a country. Our lowly provincial neighbors to the north will not take this well. Many extra sweaters will be worn, people will be oot and aboot, and polite but firm condemnations of The Bad Orange Capitalist Man will ensue. In the end Canada will issue a strongly worded apology to itself and issue a few dozen policy memos, introduce some new guidelines, regulations and laws, freeze a few thousand bank accounts, and form a government-mandated support group for the emotionally injured.

There’s absolutely nothing cool about Trudeau or their latest globalist totalitarian.

Institute a permitting issue and the price is half of all commerce traffic.
If not more.

Talked to a Canadian buddy from a former life in oil & gas yesterday. Pipeline, specifically.
He was bringing me up to speed on projects taking product from Alberta to the west coast for sale to Asia. I asked why this new capacity was being built.
Told me that Canadian oil has historically been sold to the US at a discount, owing to convenience and accessibility (and maybe diplomacy). Google confirms this has been about $15-20 per bbl for a long time.
Says the declining relationship was not the original catalyst, but is likely a factor in getting all the permits they need to go through the mountains as quickly as they are. Canadians less inclined to take that haircut these days.

Threw in the hockey bit just in case to let everyone know hes never actually serious about anything.
They'll have a big reveal of some agreement that probably predates the bridge and unveil it as some big 'art of the deal' win.
His schtick is getting stale.
