Is anyone else sick of the drones?

Some of the shots, when they actually show them, are awesome, but the constant whir of rotors is getting tiresome. There has to be a way to tune it out in the sound mix.

I hate it. All I hear while watching these skiing and snowboarding events is that damn buzz. They are visually distracting as well.

The sound is annoying but the camera angles are pretty badass. I do agree it’s sort of distracting. But in a sport like luge it doesn’t really bother me since you’d otherwise just hear the sled sliding on the ice. And for the downhill skis it isn’t really distracting at all for me.

They showed the setup while killing time between free skate programs today. It's literally a guy sitting at a table with an 8" monitor and video game controller.
The noise is an issue. I actually have a bigger issue with it being seen. Both have the ability to cause a distraction that is not necessary. Frankly the noise won't matter as optics evolve. We saw a big leap in the past 18 months and I hope having 30 months gives them the time to perfect it. NBC has SNF and world championships to work on it. I'm optimistic about them perfecting the drones they use.

Why do the drones have a mic on them? There has to be a way to get the picture without hearing the whirr.
