Do you sleep good at night knowing you cut off 30-45 minutes of family time thanks to causing a 3 mile long traffic jam?

Knowing implies thinking. They probably sleep just fine because they don't think about anything other than themselves.

I mean the law does state to “move over or slow down” for stopped traffic on the shoulder.

The law also suggests the speed limit is 70

What kinda family time will you be having when you don't slow down for a potentially hazardous situation and kill someone?

People that rubberneck are low IQ, selfish, semi-sociopathic animals. They should all be chemically castrated.

By that logic it’s a matter of law to go full speed when visibility is near zero.

A LIMIT doesn’t imply an expectation of a standard. It’s why some jurisdictions have a seperate sign giving a minimum value as well.

Does this still apply when the incident is on the other side of the interstate? They love to look over the median and gawk

Show me in the OP where they mentioned “other side of the interstate.”

In ideal conditions. Also, do you know what the word limit means?

So if it goes to 1 lane and there are people all standing around you fly by going 70+ if given the opportunity?

Ive never been at the front for a wreck

I get more pissed at the person in the front of the turning lane who is fricking around on their phone and then decide to go right before the light turns red.

Ok. I’ll add the ones that slow down 5-10 mph below the speed limit when they see a cop. Or they got a trunk food drugs!

As a FF/EMT with a wife(no pics) in law enforcement, I absolutely slow down. Better that everyone goes home a little late rather than somebody not going home at all because some entitled jackass thinks they're more important than someone else.

Plus, some people can actually help in a situation like that. I bet you'd appreciate it if you or your family were in an accident and a qualified person or even just a Good Samaritan stopped to help instead of flying by to get home for "family time." Minutes or even seconds of stopping bleeding or CPR can be the difference in someone living or dying.
