Filling in for JML today. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Here's to hopefully starting the season 2-0.

Milwaukee's lineup and pitcher...

Like to know what our top four hitters did against righties last season.

Curiel-Brown-Milam-Yorke all from the left side against a RHP is nasty.

No problem JML!

If you see those, tell her you know someone that sometimes helps you out with game threads on TD. How could she resist that?

Have fun at Spanish Town!

Interesting to see Jay go to a lineup more similar to last year with Stanny batting 9th and Curiel leading off. I believe Milwaukee pitched "backwards", so their ace is supposedly pitching today.

On the broadcast last night I thought Lyn and Ben said their ace is unavailable for a few games because he is dealing with eligibility. I think they said he has to sit out something like 7 or 8 games but don’t remember exactly, although I’m pretty sure it would be after this weekend for suer.

Btw, I may need a new Batgirl after yesterday's game. No shame intended.

Oh, maybe so. I heard it on one of the post game shows yesterday, so it's quite possible they were wrong. I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about Milwaukee's team.

ETA - maybe they're pitching their best pitcher besides their ace today

Let’s do the same thing today, minus the allowing 5 runs

Could be. I think they said it had something to do with his redshirt year and they were making him sit out the number of games he actually played his redshirt. I thought if you played any games in baseball you couldn’t get a redshirt year, but now with courts getting involved eligibility seems more of a goal than a standard.

I remember Ben and Lyn saying it was a medical redshirt that he got and the negotiation to give him this year said he had to sit out the games he played to be fair. Honestly one of the better rulings I’ve seen on something like this

Yea, that's actually a pretty reasonable ruling. Though, if it's only a few games they could've just let him play.

That does seem very reasonable although it seems like the precedent has always been to allow the player the whole season back for their medical redshirt and not reduce it by games played.
