These numbers are revealing and kinda shocking. AI is here and even if it doesn't completely wipe out the middle class we are gonna have to make adjustments.
In today’s jobs report, the BLS also included its final annual benchmark revision to the establishment employment data. (We discussed the preliminary annual revision in this blog post last September.) The following table from the jobs report indicates that the revision was quite substantial. The revised estimate of payroll employment is 1,029,000 jobs lower than the original estimate. The increase in total nonfarm employment in 2025 was revised down to only 181,000 from the original estimate of 584,000. Leaving aside the collapse in employment in 2020 during the Covid pandemic, job growth in 2025 was the slowest since 2010 in the immediate aftermath of the Great Recession of 2007–2009.

Makes you wonder why it’s been so off the last 2 years. It’s clearly no longer accurate the way they are sampling. Need to do something different

Yea, the argument that new jobs will simply arise after AI takes the other ones is flatout retarded.
This is due to more than just AI though.

I wonder if they'll find another scapegoat for this?

Didn’t Trump fire the people who determined the numbers,

Sorry fellas. I retired 6 yrs ago. As long as the stock market doesn’t crater I’m golden. My two sons have jobs as well.

What jobs are being cut right now due to AI? Be specific
Posted on 2/15/26 at 2:17 pm to sgallo3
How many of those jobs were held by foreigners?

Not shocking at all if you’re searching

Just so you understand: The numbers put out by the government are garbage. Been that way for a long, long time.

Im sure the real numbers are even worse than these revised numbers that are even worse than the bad numbers the government originally put out.
I take all that into consideration when seeing how bad these numbers that they admit are.

Many refused to admit we were in a Stagflationary environment.
Now you're seeing the truth.
The key is when those jobs didn't exist.
Inflation was UP
Unemployment was UP
The economy was DOWN

Companies eroding margins thanks to things like tariffs and people cutting back on spending.

provide value on your own, don't rely on government numbers or their "value", your value is you, and what you provide for society. know that. the rest is bullshite. or at least should be considered bullshite because it usually has ulterior motives.
