Jay has to be the smartest baseball coach we’ve ever had.

The guys ability at flipping lineups, pitching rotations, and heck, even challenging specific plays that end up being overturned is incredible. Today is not an example of the last one but it’s happened at least a dozen times it’s happened. Genius baseball mind.

I don't think every challenge is made with the intention of getting a call overturned.
I think sometimes they're done with the intention of getting a timeout or allowing the players a moment to reset.
Evans came back with a vengeance after the stoppage today.

The dude is a baseball guru. Tinkers with lineups and pitching until postseason and then wrecks. I may doubt our pitching a bit this year, but I don’t doubt Jay figuring it out

Yeah I can't think of another smart coach we've had

Oh 100%. Love his offensive timeouts. Absolute wizard

this could have been a 20-3 game with a little luck.
13-5 with no luck ain’t bad

If he keeps this up he just might have a future in baseball.

And to think what could’ve been if Jake doesn’t lose the ball in the lights at UNC.

Jay has the touch, but so did Skip Bertman. Some of Bertman’s substitutions, and their success, had me wondering if he had made a deal with the devil.

Correct. There are often multiple reasons when he does things.

I've been a huge Jay Johnson fan ever since his initial press conference. Imo, he's the best baseball coach on the planet.

Never have I seen a man, that’s whole entire world is his profession. When people joke and say “this guy eat, sleeps, and shites baseball” it is not a saying , it’s straight FACTS. JJ is probably the best College Coach in any sport!
Dough Boy ruined LSU MBB program but he couldn’t have been more spot on with the hire of Coach Jay Johnson. People, Fans, Analysts, and Pundits when comparing figures in sports always use the word “arguably” this or “one of the” this- The is NO doubt he is the BEST College Baseball Coach on the planet. It is futile to say otherwise.

He changed the lineup with Beloso in the final game of the CWS a few years ago if I’m remembering correctly

Bat Beloso 1st. He got on base almost every time
