How does the Iran situation affect it for next week?

I dont know, I would expect oil to go upwards. I remember there was a bit of a rally the day after the weekend when Iran shot all those missles at israel in retaliation and it ended up being a nothing burger for the most part. Sometimes demonstrating that indeed, the US is unmatched in projected military power, is good for uncertainty calculations.

Sentiment is looking to sell the news so expect next week to be down. March overall will be up from February levels

Probably be down Monday. Should recover before week’s out I predict.

I expect an early morning drop. Sets up me purchasing some things im not looking to hold to sell calls on at the closest strike.
If it drops more than expected, I will purchase more long term.

Kind of pathetic they scheduled the attack specifically to have the least impact on the stock market.

It might be a pretty serious decline.
We closed weaker Friday on the AI trade unraveling plus a hot inflation number really drilled the financial service stocks. Throw an oil price jump with uncertainty of how long this lasts and we may well get a pretty good buying opportunity.

I’m getting tired of NASDAQ being in the gutter.

Down 1000 points on the Dow Monday.

Markets likely open flat to green. This situation clears up a lot of the concern from the market previously, turning uncertainty into knowns. Regime change is certain now, Khamenei is dead. IRGC will fizzle out as more and more leaders are killed. They will probably leave Iran and split off as something like ISIS. Only significant risk is the insurance situation in the Strait. I think that could be cleared up quickly.
Remember that Venezuela was extremely comparable, and market opened bigly green the next Monday. This is not as clean as Venezuela but it’s gone pretty well.

Airline stocks took a big hit
Aviation analytics firm Cirium said at least 1,560 flights were cancelled on Monday, meaning more than 4,000 flights have been cancelled since Saturday.
Dubai, the world's busiest international hub, has been closed for three days.
On a related note, oil is up 13% since the strikes on Tehran, which means higher fuel costs for the airlines.
