You cant bring Bey off the bench anymore, he’s our best player from what I see and it looks like Deandre Jordan will start games at center for a few minutes a night.

PG: Dejounte
SG: Herb
SF: Trey
PF: Bey
C: Jordan
This is fine until Zion is back but then someone has to come off the bench.

I’m not so sure because Borrego has come out and said having 2 guards that can defend is a huge thing for him. I guess we shall see but I fully expect Zion to be out for the year with an ankle sprain, again tanking what small value he made for himself this year. I really wanted at least 2 first for Z but we won’t get offered even that so Dumars might just run it back praising Dejounte as their mussing piece. In which case I’ll kindly gauge my own eyes out.

I think DJ should still start for 5-6 minutes, unless the other team doesn’t have a real 5. Bring Herb off the bench.

I think he is going to try to come back this season, he is only a few games away at getting 60% of his salary next season guaranteed. Without that Nike/Jordan brand money coming in and his prospects at meaningful endorsements died up, playing will be his only source of income.

I kinda hope he does miss the rest of the season though. I think having him on a non-guaranteed deal actually improves his value for an off-season trade. A team might attach a protected first to an expiring deal for him if they know they can dump him if he does get healthy. Maybe even a trade where the Pelicans' compensation is tied to if his is still on the team they trade him to at the end of the season.

We have 20 games left.
Zion has played 45

Assuming he made all his weight check ins, he's at 60% guarantee on his salary for next year. If he plays 51 games he's at 80% and if he's at 61 games he's at 100%.

I'm sure he'll at least get to that 51 games played mark, and then coast from there.

As Murray said recently, i'd like to see the team finish the season on a high note and go out and win some games and build some momentum into next year. I'm fine somewhat running it back if they win 13+ of these last 20. With their current winning ways, finishing the season healthy and on a 19-9 run would feel good
