Part of me thinks this is cool that they prioritize the regular season, but part of me thinks this is nuts.

I'm good with it. Reduces the chances of sending a shite team (from their conference perspective) to the tournament.

I will never understand 1 bid leagues (dont know if Sunbelt is) having a tournament
At best your top team wins as they did in regular season
But in every other scenario the best team loses and doesnt get to the dance while a weaker team does.

Obviously none of the teams in the first round have probably any chance of winning more than 3 or 4 games at absolute max, but it’s hilarious to me that a team could theoretically play one game each day for literally an entire week.
