Northwestern State 10 run ruled us last year

And then LSU won the national championship 8 weeks later. Just remember that when you think that this team can’t win it all because of a bad performance on a midweek game.
Lots of time to figure out the flaws on this team.

It was late in the regular season as well. There's plenty of time for Jay to get things fixed. After winning 2 national titles over the last 3 seasons you would think fans would give him the benefit of the doubt, but not in here.

We were wondering last night in the game thread who would be the first to bring this up. Congrats!

It’s mainly football fans who are unable to grasp the concept that the most talented team doesn’t always win in baseball. It’s like a cardinal sin for those people

I’m not worried at all about this team or Jay Johnson

Its dumb to say this team cant be good but its not a midweek loss. Its 5 straight games of absolutely apathetic offense against horrid teams. It almost seems like there is an internal problem with the team

I’m interested to see how horrid those teams are as the season moves along .

It might be meaningful that the team adopted the panic so easily though.
We were KILLING the ball for 2 weeks. A couple of underwhelming games later, the fans were needlessly panicking. But, it sure seems like the team felt the pressure of it and has performed accordingly.

This happened last year as well. Two weeks right in the heart of the season with pretty terrible play. The rest is history. Baseball is a fickle game.

here we go again. Some elitist fans telling everyone we can't complain after a loss.

No one has said this. Complaining about a loss and saying that this team has no chance in the postseason are two different things.

This team isn't as talented as last years team. Nothing you say can change that. They are still a really good baseball team that isnt playing its best baseball and will get better but I don't think they have the same celling as that bunch. Defensively we aren't anywhere close and that will cost us games and a few series.

People are definitely overreacting to one loss. I remember that game last year too and everyone thought the season was over then. There is way too much baseball left to play to be this stressed out already.

The pussies on here have the memory and emotional regulation of a 2 year old.

Everyone keeps making excuses about how we’re gonna get better all that could be true but the current reality is that we cannot hit pitching that is not nearly as good as the SEC so unless something drastically changes I can’t see this team being in Omaha. The reason Jay scheduled these games is he thought he would be able to out hit these teams even if our pitching was thin and that simply has not been the case.

They're all Junior Colleges except LSU, Tuck Fulane, La.Tech, Grambling and Human Jukebox University.
Convert all the smaller Louisiana regional 4-year colleges to JC's and initiate the "Bayou State Football Conference." (Region of Louisiana Junior College at Name of Town) and add football to the current non-football schools as well. (LSU-Shreveport JC, LSU-Eunice JC, LSU- Alexandria JC)
