My experience with Retatrutide

So I am now 2 months into a cut with the aide of retatrutide. My stats are as follows:
Height: 5'-9"
Weight: 187.5lb -> 178.5
Lean Mass: 150.2lb -> 149.7lb
Fat Mass: 37lb -> 28.6 lb
BF%: 19.7% -> 16.0%
So far I am happy with the results. I have been aiming for a 500 kcal per day deficit and dieting has basically been effortless with the help of the reta. I've been able to hold on the the little muscle that I have with dropping a noticeable amount of fat.
I am planning to continue to cut to 15% and then go on a diet break for a couple of weeks. I will then cut down to 13% which is where I want to be.
As for side effects, I've had an increase in resting heartrate, about 8 bpm on average, and difficulty sleeping in the first month. That has calmed down in the last couple of weeks. Resting heartrate is down a couple of bpm and sleep is back to normal.

If I was going to get on Reta I’d probably use it to go from 13-15% to 10% or less

Thats where I'm at.
I was 245 and around 16% bodyfat
Been on Tirz for about 2.5 months. Currently 229 and around 12%. First time I've ever seen my abs and I was 185 in high school at 6'0
Goal is to get down to 215 then start to add lean mass

Questions:
What weekly dose of reta did you titrate up to? What was your starting dose?
How many grams of protein per day?
How is your 500 cal deficit calculated? Did you do an RMR to find a base rate? Are you using net or gross of exercise? How much exercise?
Any skin/bruising reactions at injection sites?

Well the goal has been to compete in Classic Physique. I have used 2-3 coaches over the last 5 years.
Problem is I hire someone and then start to feel guilty paying someone $200-$300 a month when I could be using that to save for my kids.
So the plan now is to coach myself for the next 2 years (I'm 33), then maybe make a run at a masters in either Classic or Open. By then, our oldest will be out of daycare and that should free up $800 a month

Started at 2mg per week and titrated up to 6mg per week. My progression was 2, 3, 4, 6. I should also add that I was on tirz for a year about 2 years ago and got up to 7.5mg, so when I first started reta at 2mg, it wasn't doing a whole lot for me.

How many grams of protein per day?
I used to be at 1 g/lb of protein per day, so around 185g. However, I had recently read that you only need 0.8 g/lb, so now I am at 150g per day, which allows be to get in more carbs for energy. I've been at 150g for 6 weeks,

I weight train 4 times per week, but I calculate my TDEE using a spreadsheet. I input my calories consumed and measured fat from my body scan scale into the spreadsheet daily. I take a 7 day rolling average of my fat and use that to back calculate my average daily energy expenditure, which is about 2700 kcal per day. I then take 500 kcal off of that number to set my macros. If you want more information on this, go look up how Macrofactor calculates your TDEE. I copied this from them.
As I have lost weight, I have seen my TDEE go from 2800 to 2700. Having this information allows me to adjust my macros to stay on track of losing a pound per week.

Some, but it is hardly noticable.

Man, you went from 4 to 6 in one week? I'm going much slower with the titration. When you did that, was the appetite suppression ridiculous?
So you do resistance training 4X per week and lost only .5 lb of lean? That's obviously good, but I was hoping maybe you would still gain some with the protein support. Sounds like that's next to impossible.

quote:I'm curious about this. I thought one of the supposed benefits of reta was to improve your metabolism, maybe 100-300 cals per day, depending on person/dose/effectiveness. IOW, giving the user an additional caloric deficit while holding food intake neutral. But you seem to be saying it's done the opposite?

Another question: do you ever "bonk" during your workouts while on reta?
