As this fantastic time draws near, what you got? I know UMBC crushing UVA and the FDU win over Purdue will frequently be mentioned, so I’ll roll with one that’s a tad under the radar.

Jermaine Wallace stunning Iowa giving the Southland and Northwestern State a 14 over 3 upset.

The execution on that Valpo play was unreal.

UNC/Baylor 2022 was one of the wildest tournament games I've ever seen. UNC blew a 25 point lead with 10 minutes to play but recovered to win in OT.

Wichita State/Kansas 2015 was a good one. Kansas ducked Wichita for years. Wichita finally got a crack at them in the second round of the tournament and beat their arse.

I was at that game. Brady Manek fouled out and Baylor went off. I can’t believe UNC recovered in OT.

Staying up to watch NC State beat Pepperdine in double OT in the first round of 1983 after the Wolfpack had a crazy comeback to tie it in regulation.

FGCU with a bunch of white dudes dunking on everyone was pretty memorable. The 2016 tournament was my favorite opening round ever though. So many crazy upsets and buzzer beaters and then of course the Villanova-UNC natty that year was amazing with the buzzer beater to win it.

As an A&M fan, the down 12 with 35 seconds left comeback against Northern Iowa will always be my favorite

1986 first round at the PMAC. LSU beating Purdue and then Memphis. Was great to get to host. Made this poor student able to attend.

Wichita State-Kentucky in 2014 was a good one. A crime that game was first weekend because it felt Elite 8 level. Shockers were undefeated with the Cleanthony Early/Fred VanVleet/Ron Baker team, and Kentucky had loads of talent with Julius Randle, Harrison twins, James Young, Willie Cauley-Stein. Hell of a game.

I was at the Illinois-Austin Peay game when the Governors pulled the upset over the Illini at the BJCC around 1987 or 1988.

Also watched the Governors take Billy Donovan coached by Pitino at Providence to OT that weekend.

I liked it when the 8 teams at the first and second round sites continued in the bracket together.

I also attended the UAB upset of Kentucky at Coleman Coliseum around 1979 or 1980.
Kentucky warmed up like a pro team. All matching everything. UAB looked like a rec team.
Oliver Robinson led the Blazers to a big upset.

Also at Coleman, Boston College- the point shavers, played Wake Forest. This game was beyond physical, bodies on the floor every trip.
