LSU vs ULL baseball history question?...............

......The website lsusports.net has an article on tomorrow's night game where they list LSU with a 59-28 all-time edge over the Ragin Cajuns in head to head matchups. However the LSU baseball record book shows a 58-28 lead for the Tigers.
Anyone know the truth? I'm not going to the ULL website because they distort the truth so much that they're liable to have the Cajuns with a lead in the series. I know some of the games have been played in New Orleans as well as the ones in both Baton Rouge and Lafayette and I've wondered what the all-time W-L record is in each of those cities.
Any help on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks.

I tried to google the answer but only found your thread from 7 years ago asking the same thing. Kudos to you for being relentlessly passionate in your pursuit of this series history

College Baseball records/stats from a long time ago are sketchy and unreliable. Book keeping wasn’t great

Be thankful that you didn’t go to their site since they do in fact have the Cajuns with a 39-26 lead. Many of the victories pre-Paul Mainieri were not always credited to us since they believe that LSU was using steroids in the Laval/Bertman era.

That is actually a bit closer than I expected against ULL.

That’s just a pathetic excuse to make them pretend that they lead the almighty LSU baseball program in overall head to head. I’m glad LSU doesn’t have to lie or pretend something didn’t happen about any other school to try and make them look better.

Last available Louisiana media guide I can find is 2022. Shows a record going into that year of LSU 56 Louisiana 28.

I'd forgotten about that thread. Thanks.

Completely untrue, and sad that you would lie about it.
They list LSU as 34-20, because they only go back to 1984 (they moved up from I-AA in 1983).

I know nothing about the record, but I remember Aaron Hill letting his bat fly toward the USL dugout.

I saw USL beat Todd Walker and company here in Lafayette as a kid. It crushed me

If you want to set this board off, let’s talk about this regional…. I was a senior in high school sitting in the stands as a Tiger fan then played for the Cajuns and got to hear about it from my teammates who were on that team.
Both schools decided after that not to play for 5 years. Because of that I never got to play against LSU

I downvoted the post from 7 years, just because

Obsessing for 7 years over a 1 game discrepancy?
Damn I thought my wife was a ball buster.

Not sure why. ULL has had several runs of decent baseball. I'd suspect that is the thing they have had the most success against LSU in men's sports.
ULL lists the series history going back to 1984, and it is 34-20 in favor of LSU in that span
