Damn. One pilot/plane got 3 of our F-15s?
How closely spaced were the shootdowns? I never got missiles off the rail that fast in Falcon 3.0 or F-18 sim.

When I was in F-14’s the 18’s almost shot us down in workups. Long story with some major frick ups by the 18 squadron
Then during our cruise they shot down an E-2 on purpose. After launch E-2 caught fire. Fire suppression didn’t work so crew had to bail. All picked up by helo. E-2 was headed for Israel but didn’t crash. With no one aboard it would have overflown and ended up in Iraq which we couldn’t let happen.
So we ordered F-18 to shoot it down in ocean. They couldn’t get a tone so had to use bullets and shot it down. Crazy shite. We made some fun posters saying they were 1 for 2 in shooting down US aircraft.

I hope there is a legit explanation for this other than this guy got in a dogfight with our guys and shot down three of them. If that’s what happens then my faith in our air force is greatly diminished

Do you think the kuwaiti pilot was communicating his targets to anyone? Seems like a failure on many levels.
Surely after shooting down 3 jets he must’ve thought something was off…
Or maybe he just thought he was an ACE

It was supposedly absolute chaos. I'm more surprised that he shot down all three before one of them got a shot off. Sounds like poor operational awareness.
