Gonzales Mayor refuses to pay A/C vendor

According to Channel 2 (WBRZ) news, the mayor of Gonzales, Tim Riley, is in a dispute with an A/C vendor over his payment for a new a/c installation at his home. The business owner claims Riley has only paid $1000 and will not answer his calls, etc. For 9 months, Riley still hasn't acknowledged that he will pay the bill which is around $6,000.
What is wrong with these Democrat politicians? Do they think the world owes them?

No excuse for this behavior. A small businessperson trying to make a living getting shafted by a local leader. On top of that, the high mayor hasn’t paid for an electrician that repaired issues in his attic. Seems like a serial nonpayer and loser.
Funny to think that being a Democrat is connected when Trump has been one of the biggest grifters in history. Nonpayment of vendors is a game to him. Not funny to those who actually do the work. An industry friend almost went out of business because of this.

BS, tells me you don’t a thing about construction practices. Trump disputes with contractors about not being paid has to do with performance. Don’t do the job as agreed on you don’t paid. Take it to court where it belongs. But while your fighting a losing battle in court, you still have pay your employees and the for materials.

This. Put up or shut up. If you perform the work in accordance with the contract and its terms and conditions, you get paid. If not, you don’t until you remedy the situation. Trump holds people’s feet to the fire. He grew up like I did in a time where not everyone got participation medals. Deal with it.
