I'm traveling to BR from Vicksburg next weekend with my family to watch the A&M game. Looking for the best crawfish in BR and some good restaurants to eat at (prefer local not chain). We eat at Chimes every time we come to BR so I wanted to try something different.

Close to campus...Mike Anderson's or Parrain's for very good fried seafood(both are very casual. Maybe call Mike Anderson's to make sure they have boiled crawfish. Louisiana Lagniappe if you want a fancy dinner(call and make reservations).

Also, check out Elsie's Plate and Pie on Government, very good food but can have long wait times. Bldg 5 and Overpass Merchant near Parrains are very good. Check out Simple Joe Cafe on Government for breakfast.

Several really good places on Gov't, and don't forget about Superior Grill(probably don't have boiled crawfish, lol)

Parrain’s is good but be aware it’s the same family as Chime’s. Lots of menu overlap.

Best boiled crawfish imo are at Hot Tails in Prairieville... all of their other food is great, too. She recently appeared on "Beat Bobby Flay" and beat him w/ her gumbo

Willies was the worst crawfish I have ever eaten. 50% were dead when cooked. Don't go there. It was crowded when I went a few weeks ago for lunch, but most people were not eating crawfish. I went during lunch because most places of the good places don't serve crawfish until 4 or 5 p.m. I checked reviews and I tried it. Now, I grew up in Lake Charles and they have the best crawfish, but I was truly disappointed.

I agree. We went a couple times over the years and finally just gave up. The crawfish were so gritty they were inedible. One of the employees told me they just spray the crawfish down with a hose to clean them.

IDK, I’ve never had a bad experience at Willie’s. Can be crowded but in BR everything decent is crowded.
I’ve never went for lunch. Maybe it’s their B squad.

Close to campus I like Sammy's.
Not the best of anything but good at most seafood.
