Question for anybody who has ever done the dinner cruise in Destin

I'm thinking about doing the dinner cruise in Destin with my wife but was wondering if anybody could give me some insight. I struggle with motion sickness and have been sea sick several times before but not every time I get on a boat just when it is rough. I figure this yacht is just barely cruising off the coast for a couple hours not heading out to sea like the cruise ship I got sick on. We are going in mid July which is suppose to be the calmest time of the year for waters in the Gulf. Should I risk it or find some other experience for a date night?

Whatever you do, don’t let your wife go alone

I literally never step on a boat without taking Dramamine/Bonine. I don't always get sea sick, but for pennies a pill, it's not worth the risk. Just take one and you should be fine.

I'm the kind that even with Dramamine I will get sick if it is rough. Can't do thrill rides or anything like that. If it is a calm easy ride I'll consider it, anything else and I'm out lol

Mixes easy, just add people.

I could be off base, but it would surprise me to hear that a "dinner cruise" would occur during risk of rough seas.

Is it the one close to Mirimar Beach?

Inland water, as I recall.
We had a great time, and Mrs Cars get motion sickness very easily.
Took a nondrowsy Dramamine and no issues.

Can we see the program?

We have both a travel board and a food board for questions just like this

If it's the Solaris, you won't leave the bay. I'd be surprised if you went farther west than the mid-bay bridge.
You will never lose sight of land (barring some fog/storm situation) in any direction and the waves, if any, should be minimal (1-2 ft).

If you get sick, I presume there will be plenty food left
