If only he could have reached his full potential. Well, he still has a chance to do so in the NFL.

did anyone see that he was down to like 305 at his weigh in as well, that's pretty good for someone that was, what? 330 coming in from high school

Wish they would have red shirted him and taught him some technique. Hard to red shirt a 5 star though. He didn't learn anything at Elton HS.

McCoy and Suh ran high 4.9's. Not bad for Woods at all.

About what I expected, although I really thought he might run 5.0 or sneak into high 4.9's due to weight loss.

I think he measured in at 6-4 309.

He is one of the Tigers who had a chance to help himself at combine.

I am shocked by his time. What is the deal with LSU DL, they scared to throw up 225? Nothing buy DNP's.....

Depending on arm length, the bench press may be misleading

In theory I agree, but C. Alexander is now 35 years old and has been lifting for 21 years, certainly he can throw it up 20+ times. I do find it odd none of the LSU guys participated.

throwing it up 20+ times isnt doing him any favors.

LSU is notorious for guys doing really bad at the bench press at the combine

Not a bad time. His 37" vertical is insane for a man that size but not a big surprise. He brought down a couple of backboards playing HS basketball.

That is because LSU trains for burst power instead of endurance. They hardly ever do more than 5 or 6 reps in LSU's weight room. It would make sense for these guys to train for 2 extra weeks. Think about it...most of them didn't start training until atleast 1/11/10 and they don't start training for it right away at the facilities. Might have been a good choice on their part to wait until proday. From my undersatnding, the NFL doesn't really care much about how many times they can put up 225. They want to see functional strength on the field.
