I tripped and fell at the neighbors house. this resulted in me having to have a minor surgery on my wrist. however, I have received my "explanation of benefits" from my health insurance co. it came with a form that they want me to fill out. the form asks multiple questions about my neighbors insurance and such. I certainly do not want to sue my neighbor's home owners. what can I do? will my health insurance pay the hospital?

Good luck with this not ending your friendship with the neighbors

I refuse to sue them. I just want to know if the insurance will pay the hospital if I don't.

the insurances should work it out with each other
with only a heads up for what's not covered and why

there should be no throwing down the gauntlet going on

The insurance company wants to ensure that there is not a third party liable for your injury under which they can recover what they've paid out.

They are still responsible to pay for your treatment.

Your insurance is going to try and go after the other's dollars. I'm not certain but they may short you and require you to file under your neighbor's policy to cover the remainder.

It's bullshite what these insurance companies do. If you friend has no liability your insurance l will still deny because it is accident related. Ultimately they will pay but it's a hassle.

If you tripped for no other reason except just tripped, I don't think your friends homeowners would be liable.

Doesn't sound like you just "fell down the stairs". If he's beating you you can tell us

Why did you tell anyone it happened at a neighbor's for them to question? You should have just told them you fell.

I don't understand. This seems like a lot of extra work. Do you have insurance?

You fell and you hurt your wrist. You get surgery. You pay your deductible.
