I started cutting grass in the summer between 8th and 9th grade. Worked for an old WWII vet who was having some health issues. Paid me 3 or 4 dollars a lawn, cut 3 or 4 a day. Started at 6am, done by 9 or 10. Big bucks for a 12 year old in the late 70s. Plus the guy was a hoot to be around.

13. Worked at a local motorcross park on the weekends. Mainly flagging for the races and weed eating around the tracks. Eventually learned how to run an excavator and a trackhoe because of that job.

Cut grass at age 10 in 1968, $5 per yard with a push mower. I did that until about age 15, then I was a fry cook at Jacks Hamburgers.

Started cutting grass in Destrehan in 6th grade, and kept doing so with other various part time jobs interspersed. My first real paycheck that had everything taken out was freshman year at LSU in 2000. I worked in a warehouse.
