Stock rising and falling without any sound financial reason. There has to be some people getting murdered out there.

All of the gains in stocks are from ETF inflows in Q2. So it's all multiple expansion.

I started actively investing during February and March. I’ve learned a lot of lessons. Started watching videos and reading books about investing. Thankfully I have had modest returns and no big losses.

I would speculate that a lot of people who invested because of the recent opportunities will remove themselves as they see their investments go down. Some will stick but most will not enjoy the ride and get out.

Random people on the street probably won’t understand market fluctuations and will most likely react emotionally.

I’m new myself, but, it definitely seems like nothing holds a gain lately. Which, leads me to believe newer, smaller players are fine with small gains cashing out earlier instead of riding it up more.

80% of all day traders quit within the first two years. This isn’t a novel occurrence.

The market is unstable due to several reasons, but the greatest is undoubtedly the excess of cheap liquidity that’s been pumped in.

We’ve got oceans of money sloshing around, searching for literally any investment that looks even halfway worth a damn (since bonds and savings are worthless). It’s bound to cause volatility one way or the other.

Stocks and land prices are very likely going to continue to inflate all the way up until they burst. I’m honestly not sure what’s a safe bet anymore. Nothing I crunch numbers on looks good unless you’re counting on the “greater fool theory” to bail you out after treading water for a bit.

I mean, in the case of TSLA’s 6 month chart, why has this gone to the moon in the last few weeks? The smart money has to be expecting this to retreat. Things that go straight up usually have a hard pullback. Are they selling more cars that would justify this? During a pandemic where a critical mass of people have lost their job?

The question is would you sweat more being long in TSLA or shorting this? Maybe you would rather just not mess with TSLA period.

Do you think its the new day traders with $1500 accounts or the pandemic that literally shut down our country for 2 months

The market moves on daily news related to the pandemic.

I get a kick out of the robintracker guy who posts the top 10 in/out daily.

It will be something like
#1 IDEX 10,000
#2 AMZN 9,500
#3 GNUS 8,000
#4 TSLA 7,500
#5 BIOC 6000
#6 KTOV 5500

Ughh two of these are not like the others

You just know its robinhooders buying 0.1 shares of amazon, although hey, I applaud them for doing this

My trading account is up like 150% since the trade war but thanks for the advice. Coming from the guy who says don't buy treasuries when bond inflows mooned in Q2.

If you can coherently explain why you think Tesla is going up we would love to hear it. I might even respond with what I think is happening.

I couldn't be happier with my single share of AMZN! I love that people can purchase fractional with no commission. At least its getting people to invest their money

Do you have stop loss order in on both of your Tesla shares or just one of them?
