Between going full-on SJW and charging full tuition/fees while having classes online, colleges seem to building some animosity with their students and parents. Can't wait till the higher education monopoly is broken up.

I've donated to the Accounting department at LSU over the years.

ETA: This was pre-BLMSU days.

No, my alma mater openly supports a communist organization that travels across state lines to incite violence and murder and claims that some Americans don’t have the same rights that other Americans do even though they’re Americans. And that is why I do not donate to my alma mater.

Since graduation I have given my alma mater exactly what it has given me: nothing.

John Mulaney's hilarious bit on this

"If you're an adult still giving money to your college, college is a $120,000 hooker and you're the idiot who fell in love with her."

Yes we do as my wife was on an atheltic scholarship at our alma mater. We feel we should help out because we are in the position to help out. We got the help when we needed it so we are returning the favor.

I used to donate regularly to my undergraduate alma mater regularly, but since they went liberal SJW, they don't get a goddamn penny from me and we're fully informed why.

Not anymore I don't. I've realized through all of this that LSU's ideal and morals are no longer aligned with mine. I of course will always look back fondly on my time at LSU, but I don't support organizations whose ideals are that far removed from mine, no matter how much I used to love it.

And to be clear, my username here used to be true. If there was a way to change it, I would.

I mainly donate to my kids' schools. No more for LSU, I just don't feel like it is the same place I used to love.

Absolutely...as I see it, the stronger LSU is, the greater the earning power of my degree is. As long as they do nothing to hurt the reputation of the school, I am good.

ETA: I guess we can tell who doesn’t have degrees from LSU!

I paid all of the standard room and board, tuition etc. Then the plethora of fees began. Then they cut down the student section and made students get in a lottery for the right to purchase a ticket.

We used to be able to park many places on campus. Now, there is nowhere to park unless you go off campus. Everything is a new fee, nickel and diming these kids to death. School costs have elevated to an astronomical level. You are overcharged for everything. They see you almost as a nuisance, and an ATM.

Continue to pay them after? HA! Good one, Baw.
