May have the opportunity to jump over there for a day.
Must sees?
Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods?

Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods?

When?
I was there in August and lots of construction on Pikes peak. Couldn’t drive all the way up and a shuttle was needed to get to the top. With Covid, reports of hour plus wait for the shuttle. When you get to the observation area, construction equipment blocked most views is what I was told.
Garden of the Gods was good to go...We ate at Peppertree one night and I highly recommend. We also did a hot air balloon ride one morning which was fun. Downtown was okay for an hour or 2 for lunch and walking around.
Overall, I did not care for CS. Perhaps Covid restrictions played a part as it was tighter than the other place on CO we visited.

We did rafting in Fort Collins but I doubt that is still open this time of year. Then RMNP in Estes for several days of hiking. We avoided Denver completely other than airport

I'd skip Colorado Springs

thats why looked at Pikes and Garden, as they are outdoor parks.
It’s basically a free stop over for a day. I’ve never been to Colorado, so was looking for something quick and interesting to see.

I’d rather go to the Flatirons in Boulder or St. Mary’s Glacier off 70 if you’re looking for something quick close to the Front Range. Hikes around RMNP in Estes and Breckenridge/Frisco are also great if you’re willing to drive 1.5 hours from Denver.

We did the Royal Gorge train ride. It was cool and very relaxing. They have rafting and bungie jumping and other stuff on the gorge as well.
Manitou Springs was a cool little town. Next to Garden of the Gods which is cool to hike around. Not sure what the weather is doing right now though.
Overall, CS is just okay with not a whole lot going on. We went in the summer and CS was more open than Denver, Boulder and FC which were all very closed down compared to CS.

Friday all indoor dining is getting shut down and COVID restrictions ramping up.
Garden of the Gods is a must see and is eay walkign around. If you want to drive an hour the Royal Gorge in Canon City is pretty cool, also has the train you can ride in the gorge.
Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs are fun to walk around, lots of good restaurants which will be take out only after Friday.
Pikes Peak is under construction and is a pain in the arse anyway.

Lake Dillon isn't too far from Denver. Great views from sapphire point this time of year. Mayflower gulch is a good hike in that area. Colorado Springs is just Garden of the Gods. Its very nice but thats about all there is right now

Not "must sees" but a few things I enjoyed.
Palmer Park overlooking the city and Rockies at sunset. I mainly wanted to go here to take photos.
Seven Bridges trail to Loud's Cabin.
Paravicini's Italian Bistro if you are looking for dinner.
eta: Just saw Seven Bridges is currently closed due to fire. Check ahead.

Not that anyone is yearning to hear my recap. Enjoyable quick trip, with some great scenery. Got the chance to see Red Rocks, Seven Falls, Garden of Gods, and Pikes Peak.
Pike’s was closed at marker 13 due to weather, but still a beautiful drive and worth the $15.
One of the coolest things was seeing Blucifer at the DEN Airport.
Thanks for all the info guys
