CBS 46 Atlanta For the latest virtue signaling:

quote:
"The right to vote is of fundamental importance and critical to the survival of our democracy,” said Clerk of Court Tiana Garner. “It is incumbent upon all of us to ensure that every eligible person who wants to vote is able to do so.”
quote:
The new service offered by the Gwinnett County Clerk of Court will take effect immediately. Gwinnett residents may bring their identification to any Clerk of Court location during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, to receive a free paper copy of their identification.

For once the Gump leads at something besides football.
If you don't have an ID they'll send a little van to your house to make you one.
All for free.

That's genius level work, Tiana.

The state of Georgia already does this for photo ID
Posted on 4/12/21 at 7:47 am to HubbaBubba
So they’re going to scan it and give it back?

There are more Illegal Immigrants in Gwinnett County than anywhere else in Georgia.

So it’s a political stunt OR she’s really dumb?
I guess it could be both

You mean you have to be at home AND be willing to talk to another human to get your ID?
So much racism!

Drove through somewhere south of Vidalia yesterday that made it look like we might have entered Mexico. Didn't see a business sign in english.

You didn’t even highlight the best part about limited times you could come. Not being open 20 hours a day 7 days a week was also a racist part of the bill.
The left saying “have an id and show up at these times” is racist is second only to Whitmer and Cuomo were superstars during Covid in gaslighting.

Likely, she means a birth certificate, which is the main underlying identity document needed to get a photo ID. Even here in the great state of Texas.

And more on the way. Gwinnett went from solidly Republican to Democratic in two years, supposedly. A long serving Sheriff retired and the new Sheriff promptly announced that he would no longer cooperate with ICE to see if people they had pulled over had outstanding warrants -- basically making us a sanctuary county. The new tax commissioner, been on the job a couple of months, is trying to raise her salary from $140k to $250k. A new county commissioner wants to raise her salary from $75k to $150k our our state rep says that you are racist if you do not support her.
Biden's America.

If they have an Id why does the county need to make them one.

It's in case they have to mail a copy of their id in with a future absentee ballot but apparently don't have equal access to copy machines.

So, the Gwinnett clerk has a copy machine?

I did a study of voting patterns in Georgia and noticed that Gwinnett and Cobb counties in metro Atlanta were Republican strongholds from 1980 to 2012. Both went full Democratic in 2020, with vote totals in each nearing 60%!
A similar pattern has occurred in suburban counties since 2012 in other parts of the country-- Orange County, California; the counties surrounding Philadelphia; Fort Bend Co. near Houston; Hays and Williamson counties near Austin are the most obvious to shift in 8 years. Shouldn't Republicans soul search and determine why they turn off suburban voters, rather than constantly complain about unproved theories like "fraud" and "stolen elections"?
