I heard that number somewhere, and thought it was extremely low. Also Hispanics are under 50%.

Is this a potentially uniting issue with people who don't typically unite on anything political?

I hope so

what is an even bigger issue is mentally ill and evil people sexually abusing children, especially those that would put a dress on a little boy or give him hormones...

I would suspect a lot of blacks not getting the jab due to the government’s history of injecting them.

Why is the racist Biden administration not distributing the vaccines to black communities?

*blacks vote en masse for Dems*

*blacks don't trust their Dem government telling them to vaccinate.*

Go to any large grocery or discount department store, and open your eyes to who's wearing masks!

Blacks also support Dems who promise to raise minimum wage. But historically every time MW has been increased black unemployment went up much more than white unemployment.

What a load of bullshite! Ten times the number of whites have been "injected", so that's ridiculous.
Hell, with the misinformation the MSM was throwing out about the virus being worse for blacks, you'd think that blacks would be the first in line for shots!

Don't you need an ID to get the jab? That might explain it.

Anecdotally, I work in the CJ field and work with a lot of AA people as fellow officers and also the offender population. Very few of either group have been vaccinated from what I can tell. The Hispanics also have very low vaccination rates.

What’s most interesting is that both groups tend to live in far more crowded housing with multi generational family’s all living under the same roof. If one gets it, they all get it.

If you try to discuss vaccines with them, they are absolutely opposed to taking it because they don’t trust a drug that Trump had made.

Also, your routine Florida redneck is equally opposed because they don’t want to get some sort of bad reaction.

It’s really quite stunning when you talk to people about this topic. The common link between the groups is straight up ignorance. The lower ones education, the more likely they appear to be against getting vaccinated.

This is Joe Biden’s America, folks. Enjoy round two of the pandemic with lockdowns, restaurant closures and travel restrictions because they’re coming to your town very very soon.

And the way most of them drive around here, probably the same percentage have drivers licenses.

That's hilarious because "Uncle Joe" is about to blow a gasket over them NOT getting it.
HERE'S MY TAKE

For the ones left that haven't taken it,...FINE, frick'em..let them do whatever they want with masks. They'll only infect those who wouldn't take the shot, so let them DEAL WITH IT!
The one thing I would do though, is not require the health insurance companies to cover the bills for those who weren't vaccinated and contracted the virus. It's not the companies' fault that the fools wouldn't get vaccinated, and costs only drive rates for ALL of us up.

LSUwag, the explanation you use of "ignorance" is not always the case. I haven't gotten the vaccine, but not because of ignorance. Heck I work on a Covid quarantine unit. My issue is the heavy push for it. When has anyone ever been enticed by lotteries, free money, gifts, etc before just to take a vaccine. There is something afoot and I don't trust this at all. Plus they think someone with natural antibodies should take it as well. What? And the fact that they will lock us all down again and prevent the unvaccinated from participating in commerce should make you take pause. Why it doesn't makes me take pause.

I’m telling you what I fricking see. I work with lots of people from all races and socioeconomic statuses. It provides a pretty good snap shot of what’s going on in the teal world.

If you don’t like it that screw you, pal.

Yes, I think the anti-Vax crowd are ignorant. It’s my opinion and I’m entitled to have it.

As someone who already had covid and not getting the vaccine (at least anytime soon), I agree 100%

Then you would also agree that insurance companies shouldn’t have to pay for care related to health issues caused by being morbidly obese? Because I guarantee you that the fat asses in their 40’s who need electric scooters to get around at Disney because of their diet and lifestyle are a lot more likely to be a massive cost to their insurer than a generally healthy person under 60 who doesn’t want an experimental vaccine for a disease that only has a 1% chance of causing them anything worse than a mild case. I sure would like my health premiums to go down if I didn’t have to subsidize the bloated costs of caring for people who don’t care for themselves.
