I knew a Vietnamese chick in college. Smartest girl I ever knew. All of maybe 5 feet tall.

It’s not uncommon to see ex-military guys with wives from Europe or Asia because of military battles or posts but it seems rare to see a military wife from Iraq or Afghanistan. Did our military guys not fraternize with the locals?

A lot went wrong in my 26 years of marriage to a Vietnamese woman and I have the scars to prove it. But race or race sensitivity was not one of them. In my experience, the vast majority of Vietnamese people are near- immune to race baiting crap that blacks drink up like water in a desert. They would never admit the implicit weakness or inferiority like that. Vietnamese people don’t roll like that.
