Anyone have a Airline, Credit Card, etc that they are 100% loyal to for travel.
For me I am with Delta and I have the Delta AMEX card for extra rewards. I haven't flown another airline in 6 years due to me being loyal, even when it means me paying more for the same flight in some areas.

Not loyal to any credit cards although I've been using my Capital One Venture Card more due to the travel benefits (don't have a Sapphire Preferred)

That's why I said Nope. That applied to airlines. Not worth it.

I guess Hyatt for hotels.

United. They’ve treated me well. YMMV.

And Amex. We earn 500k plus points a year. Fantastic transfer partners.

Is there a particular webpage or resource you are aware of to learn how to best utilize your Amex points? I don’t stack as much as you but I’m closing in on 300k and would like to use them as wisely as possible.

The Points Guy. I mostly look at the transfer partners and who has a transfer bonus that suits my needs. 250k of those points can get you business class around the world for two by transferring points to ANA.

How to book an around the world award with 125k Amex points

When I first started traveling extensively (domestically) about ten years ago I flew exclusively with Southwest. I don't really remember why but I did and also got a Southwest credit card.

About five years later when I started flying overseas a lot (which Southwest doesn't do) I started using other airlines too. And sometime in there I discovered Spirit and Frontier and got better at finding cheap deals through various apps and whatnot and nowadays I rarely fly with Southwest. I still have the Southwest credit card and use it periodically and when I have enough points for a flight I will fly with Southwest. But other than that I'm taking the cheapest flight to where I want to go.

Also a points whore, but the answer is to pick the best deal. Loyalty only restricts you and costs you more money. Pick the most convenient flight & price. Having said that I have status at most of the major brands through cards or status match so the perks will certainly sway me one way or another all things being equal, and I tend to get the best deals with Hyatt and SW (domestic with companion pass) based on home airport and points availability. But if a Hotels.com and American are the best option for my next trip, going out of my way to be loyal to a brand only inconveniences my vacation.

I have southwest companion pass, so I've been using that card since February. My flights on points, and she flies free

Airlines- I used to be strictly American Airlines, then got fed up and switched to Delta. Have gotten burned by a few events (Easter, IT meltdown in February, etc) but nothing malicious like on AA. Have recently been flying whoever has a nonstop and/or good flight times. JetBlue is a good option and few issues on them. Got burned by southwest today so sitting in Atlanta waiting for a Delta flight

Hotels- Same as airlines, used to be Marriott but can't justify spending an extra $100/night in some situations vs a best western, Hyatt, etc. Go with cost and convenience/location to event, free breakfast and parking can also seat my decision

Cars- Cheapest option. Used to be enterprise but they hassled me for $200 for a chip in the windshield that turned me off. Calls, emails, letters in the mail, felt like a collection agency.

8 years in a row of being a delta Diamond so they get 95% of my business. The exception is my nonstops to DFW to see my daughter and the occasional work trip to a spot delta doesn’t fly

Hotel wise I am getting close to lifetime platinum with marriott

Cars- National is my preferred car vendor but will use hertz as needed

Venture card is the only card I use.

I like to use Southwest when I can. But I’ll fly Delta, United or AA if I can find a better or cheaper flight with them. With everything going on with AA, I have avoided them lately.

I have no loyalty with hotels at all!!! Wife (no pics) likes Marriott or Hilton or one of those she books through. I use Hotwire, Hotels.com, TripAdvisor, Google or whatever to find a hotel that’s cheap, quiet and in a good location. We tend to be out and about and don’t spend much time in the hotels anyway.

I used to like SPG and Marriott until they nuked the rewards, so I switched to Hyatt which claps all other hotel rewards programs now
