Loved that it was so full they had to staple your box shut.
Honestly forgot about that, but do remember it always full AF.

Think it was under $6..
Don't remember the cost, but whatever it was, it was easily worth it.

We went to Dumpling and Bao on Seigen for Christmas Eve and it was very good!

Nine Dragon Noodle House was the one I liked, at the corner of Highland and Lee. No longer in operation.

idk if they still have the same owners, but when I was at LSU the Chinese Inn on Nicholson a couple blocks from Oklahoma Street used to be amazing.

It's not a high end place, but Oriental Pearl is our favorite.
For buffet I'd agree. If you want noodles and/or hibachi, IMO Hikari and Noodle Bowl (new place in the old Podnah's off Sherwood) are both good choices.

In EBR: Cheng’s for sit down, General Tso’s for takeout.

Hikari is definitely the best Ramen place imo.

Is Nine Dragon still doing the lunch buffets? Last few times I’ve gone, they weren’t doing it since Covid.

Took a gamble and went to the newish buffet place at Sherwood and Florida.
I knew it was going to be good when 90% of the people eating in there were Asians.
We were very impressed. Fresh food was constantly being brought out and they had an insane variety.
The name of the place was simply Asian Seafood Buffet.

Oriental Pearl on Sherwood and Coursey.
We had about a half dozen folks eat at the Pearl, it was very good!

The chicken lettuce wraps and kung pao chicken at PF Changs is bomb. Anything else is mediocre.

Chow yum Perkins road is the best

Tell them how much it cost. Saturday lunch it was like $32 a person. Wasn’t even close to worth that when I went. Food wasn’t even hot. 11:30 am

Chow Main
If anyone remembers Paul Wong's in Port Allen he runs Chow Main after taking it over from his son a few years ago.

Back in the 90s Bamboo House on Boardwalk was the best. Used to gorge on the buffet and then go across the street to Chuck E Cheese.

They do the old Wong family egg rolls?

Don’t forget Egg Roll King , the King is missed.

Asian Seafood Buffet.
Not new, just rebranded. They used to be one of the more authentic Chinese restaurants in town. I tried it once since they moved to the buffet format and thought it was so-so. Some dishes were good, but much of the stir fry were lacking in flavor.
My favorite Asian restaurant from the past was Taste of Asia. They had Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese dishes and everything was well done.
