Ah, found the Hogs thread. Was pretty damn awesome, but muddy as hell. I tried to warn the stroller and tennis shoe people when we were leaving. I think the plywood made more people bust arse than the regular mud. Saw a lot of buddies from HS and college.

Almost everything I ate was great, free fireball shots, a bunch of beer, lots of trim running around, and I kept finding tokens on the ground. Don't regret letting the grass grow today

For those that missed it:

I went but couldn't stay a long time. Had to be somewhere else this evening. It was definitely sloppy out there and I wasn't prepared for it good enough. Should have worn my shrimp boots.

Food was good we tried but we went early and a lot of booths didn't have their food ready because of the sloppy conditions. A lot of booths look like they were abandoned too. Bad luck with the rain thing this year for hogs. Crowds were small early on but it looked like it was picking up when we left.

Yeah, a few smart ones built platforms out of 2x4s and plywood for their whole setup. The mud was bad, but honestly, it didn't bother me at all. Kinda added to it IMHO

Bumping this to say we had a great time out there and give major props to whoever booked greensky bluegrass, they were awesome. Had some smoked lamb lettuce wraps from fox bros that were great.

Without that mud, yesterday would have possibly been the best festival day NOLA has ever seen
