Don't do anything special for New Year's Eve but do the traditional New Year's Day meal of blackeye peas with rice, smothered cabbage with corned beef and probably a pan of cornbread to go with it.
I've got the blackeye peas cooking now so I won't have so much to deal with tomorrow and can watch the World Championship Darts from London and the football games.

My wife made pizza dough from scratch, throwing the stone in the oven at 550 starting around 5. I'm doing caramelized onions, roaster garlic, and pepperoni. Kids probably just pepperoni, my wife goes for goat cheese and prosciutto.
Also whisky, but not until later if I'm going to make it to midnight, since I got up before 4am.

Having some friends over and making hibachi on the Blackstone.
Unfortunately I just found out my wife threw away my hibachi chef's hat, so I can't fully culturally appropriate the chef's from Benihana. I will be flipping many shrimp tails at her with my spatula.

It’s New Year’s, we’re traditional, black eyed peas, smothered cabbage, pork roast, slaw and cornbread. :)
