I guess I've just always associated Popeyes with LA so just figured they were based in LA. I mean Louisiana is in the name of the company . Did they move or has it always been outside of LA?

They had a brief stop over in Atlanta before going to Miami, somewhere around 2017-2018

Still surprised Popeyes hasn't started chicken biscuits yet.

They used to have chicken biscuits for breakfast back in like 2003ish. I don't think they even do breakfast anymore, but it was awesome.

Popeye's breakfast used to be the shite. Most don't do it anymore.

My brother lived in Salt Lake for a few years and their airport Popeyes had breakfast. I'd get it pretty much every time; it was fricking delicious.

there are still Popeyes that serve breakfast. The one in Plaquemine does and the chicken biscuit is outstanding

Good luck even getting in the parking lot at some of them.

I don’t bother to eat there anymore and I have to swerve around lines of people backed up into the road waiting 10 minutes on the spicy.

Yeah, I second that. It was mostly breading and no meat. Maybe they’ll improve on it?

“Popeyes has previously served chicken nuggets on its menus in the ‘80s and in 2012, however, it was a different chicken recipe and was served for a limited time,” a Popeyes spokesperson said in an email. “This is the first time this new recipe will be served nationwide.”

The company said the white-meat chicken nuggets use the sandwich recipe, which marinates the meat and uses a special flour and batter system to provide the perfect crispy texture. The nuggets are served with Popeyes’ signature sauces, which include Bayou Buffalo, BoldBQ, Blackened Ranch, Buttermilk Ranch, Mardi Gras Mustard and Sweet Heat

The Miami-based chicken chain

They are 100% owned by a Canadian company that is based in Toronto. Aboot 1/3 of the Canadian company is Brazilian owned.

This company also owns burger king, and Tim Horton's.

Some of the franchises of this foreign owned chicken chain are owned by Americans.

If they are like they were last time...expect dry, hard, aka over cooked for the most part.

hey’ve had nuggets before and they sucked

The ones they had back in the late 80's- maybe early 90's were pretty damn good. They've tried to bring them back from time to time and were terrible.
